The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

A soft, classic chocolate chip cookie.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Servings: 3 Dozen

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Salted Butter
  • 2 Eggs Beaten
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 Tsp Baking soda
  • 1/6 Cup Water to dissolve baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp Baking powder
  • 3/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Dissolve baking soda in water and add to wet ingredients.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to wet ingredients.
  6. Add chocolate chips.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon to evenly place 12 cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow cookies to cool slightly on the pan before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.
