My mother-in-law was kind enough to share her amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe with me! And I’ll do you a favour and share it with you too!

Who doesn’t love a mouth-watering, classic chocolate chip cookie?!? These soft and delicious chocolate chip cookies are so yummy and so nice to have on hand to have as a snack when company comes over or to pack in school lunches.

These cookies are fairly quick to whip up a batch and they freeze very well. YUM! If you are looking for another quick and easy recipe to try check out my Caramel Toffee Squares.

Now let’s get started on these cookies!

First up, we are going to cream together our butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until it’s nice and fluffy.

I like to use my Bosch mixer with the paddle attachment but if you don’t have one you can do this by hand too.

Next, we are going to mix together the water and the baking soda and add it to the other wet ingredients.

Then we will mix together the remaining dry ingredients in a small mixing bowl and slowly incorporate it into the wet ingredients.

Last stir in the chocolate chips and then use a cookie scoop to place 12 cookies onto one cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
